First Responder Memorial Circle
Honor Their Service. Preserve Their Legacy.
Every day, Monroe County’s firefighters, emergency medical professionals, and emergency communications personnel answer the call – protecting our neighbors and standing ready when every second matters. Now, our community has an opportunity to create a permanent First Responders Memorial: a place where their courage, service, and sacrifice will always be remembered.
This memorial, scheduled for construction in Fall 2026, will offer families, colleagues, residents, and visitors a meaningful place to reflect, pay tribute, and ensure that those who served are never forgotten.
First Responder Memorial Committee - Mission Statement
The First Responder Memorial Committee exists to ensure that those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty are remembered with honor, dignity, and permanence. We are committed to building a memorial that reflects the unity and courage of all first responder disciplines. Our goal is to create a collaborative and inclusive effort that welcomes participation from all first responder entities serving our community.
