Drone as a First Responder Program
Uses remotely piloted drones to provide real-time situational awareness and aims to improve response times, enhance public safety, and support first responders during emergencies.
To make this program a reality for our community, the Sheriff’s Office must first invest approximately $275,000 in infrastructure improvements for the Zone B substation such as new electrical work, roofing work to accommodate the equipment and antennas, as well as erecting a steel staircase for roof access. Unfortunately, these additional expenses are not covered by the grant, and the Sheriff’s Office is seeking financial contributions from local businesses in the Zone B area to help fund these improvements.
